PUBLIC & MEMBER ENGAGEMENT
The Local Government Management Association of BC (LGMA) was looking ahead to it’s 100th anniversary. In anticipation, it wanted to revitalize awareness about its work, with both members and non-members. ZINC developed an engagement plan that included strategies to improve communication between this non-profit organization and its partners, funders and members. We then supported the rollout of these strategies by using existing communications channels, creating new social media channels, coaching staff and the Executive Director on the use of social media, launching a member survey, producing content for its annual AGM, and helping the organization initiate online conversations via Twitter and LinkedIn to connect with provincial members and national partners. The connections made helped set a course for new programs and introduced new allies and contacts.
