CITY OF CAMPBELL RIVER
Waterfront Project 2018-2020
The $24M Waterfront Project 2018-2020 included three key upgrades to Campbell River’s southern waterfront entrance to downtown: a sewer upgrade, the third phase of Highway 19A renewal and in‐water improvements to the Big Rock Boat Ramp. ZINC was responsible for keeping the public informed about this major roadway construction and the closure of one of the City’s most important community facilities, all during the busy summer months. The team acted as the primary contact for the public, and worked closely with project contractors to ensure all interested and affected parties received timely project updates at every stage. Communications services included: hosting public events, direct outreach to community groups and producing regular project newsletters and updates for the project website and social media pages.
