Sadie is a communications and public engagement strategist who’s sat on both sides of the table. A former Kamloops City Councillor and UBCM Director, she brings first-hand knowledge of local government decision-making to every project she leads. She holds degrees in Journalism and Environmental Biology and an MSc in Environmental Science, and has built a career turning complex policy, planning, and infrastructure issues into communications people actually trust.

Sadie has led community and interest holder engagement across sectors — including housing, social services, environment, and non-profit governance — from grassroots consultations to provincial initiatives and supports local governments with strategic fund development. A systems thinker at heart, she connects the dots between policy, people, and process to build strategies that hold up under real-world complexity. As Managing Consultant, Sadie leads ZINC’s most complex client engagements, guiding organizations through public processes with a steady hand and a clear strategy. For Sadie, communication and community aren’t two things to balance — they’re something to integrate.
