Recreation Planning

The CVRD is making plans for improving and growing recreation infrastructure, specifically field, ice and aquatic facilities. This work has been ongoing since 2019 and has included studies, public engagement and ultimately, a capital development workshop with elected officials to determine the best path ahead for recreation facilities in the Comox Valley.

In 2022, ZINC supported the CVRD in engaging the community on ice allocation and field use to help inform strategic planning for recreation services and infrastructure upgrades. Then, in 2023, community events were held to provide updates about proposed future plans for these facilities.
