Residents in the rural south region of the Comox Valley have needed sewer service for many years – but over decades of discussion it’s become a complicated topic wrought with old information, previous proposals and general fatigue. When the Comox Valley Regional District received a $15M grant that could mean moving forward with the service after all, they recognized the need for dedicated communications support to keep the community engaged. ZINC supported the project team during the planning and implementation process. Writing and producing quarterly newsletters, creating info sheets and displays, coordinating social media updates and public events, and managing online consultation at Placespeak.com were some of the ways ZINC kept the community informed.
