REC-REATE STRATHCONA GARDENS

It’s clear to the Strathcona Regional District and community members that the recreation facility Strathcona Gardens is ready for some updates, but some help was needed to engage with the public about what those updates should be. To get the public involved, ZINC started by establishing traditional outreach tools such as a newsletter, web content, FAQs and more. Then, we created tools to interact with the public more actively. This included designing, implementing and managing a stakeholder and user groups survey, as well as creating an interactive station for the facility’s lobby, which both informed people about the proposed project as well as encouraged feedback. Both providing information and getting feedback were significant contributors to the SRD’s engagement as it planned to ‘REC-REATE’ Strathcona Gardens
