Rural Roadside Garbage and Recycling Collection

When Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) electoral area directors reported hearing interest in a new roadside garbage and recycling collection service from constituents, they decided it was time to engage the communities formally to gauge interest. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the engagement would have to be online. ZINC was asked to create an engaging and effective survey and help promote the engagement opportunity. The results of this consultation? Over 3,000 responses from community members – far more participants than seen in other recent engagements. Staff had clear support to move ahead with the new service.
